 The Heritage City of Vigan truly comes alive during the celebration of the Fiesta of the Conversion of St. Paul, an event

that reflects the deep faith, culture, and unity of the Bigueños. Walking through the cobblestone streets, I immediately felt the festive atmosphere as colorful decorations, music, and smiling faces filled the city. The blend of history and celebration made the fiesta unique, showing why Vigan remains one of the most admired heritage destinations in the Philippines.

One of the highlights of the celebration is

the religious activities, particularly the solemn procession and thanksgiving mass honoring St. Paul. Devotees from different places gathered to participate, showing their devotion and gratitude. The streets of Vigan became a place of prayer and reflection, reminding visitors of the strong spiritual foundation of the community. Despite the new normal, the celebration remained meaningful as health protocols were observed while traditions were preserved.

Aside from religious events, the fiesta also featured cultural performances, local food displays, and community activities. I

enjoyed watching traditional dances and listening to local music that showcased Ilocano culture. Food stalls offering Vigan longganisa, empanada, and native delicacies added excitement to the experience. These activities not only entertained visitors but also supported local businesses and promoted Vigan’s rich culinary heritage.

Overall, my experience in the Vigan City Fiesta was unforgettable. It showed how the city embraces its traditions while adapting to modern times. Truly, the celebration proves that it’s more fun sa Pamayanan, especially when culture, faith, and community come together. The fiesta is not just an event but a reflection of Vigan’s identity—historic, vibrant, and proudly Filipino.

Third Quarter Journey: Lessons, Challenges, and Growth

 During the Third Quarter, I gained many learnings that helped me grow both academically and personally. I improved

my understanding of different subjects through activities such as problem-solving, writing reflections, and analyzing lessons. I discovered that learning is more effective when I actively participate, ask questions, and connect lessons to real-life situations. This quarter also helped me develop better study habits, time management skills, and confidence in expressing my ideas, especially in written works and class discussions.

Despite these learnings, I encountered several challenges throughout the quarter. One of the main difficulties was managing

my time properly while balancing schoolwork, deadlines, and personal responsibilities. Some lessons were also challenging to understand at first, especially when topics required deeper analysis or computations. There were moments when I felt pressured and stressed, particularly during weeks with multiple tasks and assessments.

To address these challenges, I learned to organize my schedule and prioritize tasks based on urgency and difficulty. I asked for help from my teachers, classmates, and

learning resources whenever I did not fully understand a lesson. I also practiced reviewing my notes, doing extra exercises, and staying focused during study time. By maintaining a positive mindset and not giving up easily, I was able to overcome most of the difficulties I faced.

Moving on, I will continue to improve my study habits and manage my time more effectively. I will challenge myself to be more consistent, responsible, and proactive in my learning. I also plan to stay motivated, learn from my mistakes, and apply the lessons I have gained not only in school but also in real-life situations. I believe that these experiences from the Third Quarter will help prepare me for future challenges and opportunities.

Indigenous Peoples possess rich knowledge systems that have been

developed through generations of interaction with nature.
